The final cost has yet to be determined but will be between $1,800 and $2,500. This is comparable to other training programs to Korea and includes airfare, lodging, meals, and transportation.
Why so expensive?
Airfare accounts for approximately half the cost. Additionally, all transporation, lodging, and meals are provided to participants.
Is it worth it?
If you plan on this being a vacation of lazy summer afternoons in the sun, shopping, and generally lounging around, this is not for you. In the words of one instructor we met, “This is one f*****d up vacation.”
However, if you enjoy martial arts training and you appreciate being able to have conversations with students and instructors who devote their academic and professional careers to the martial arts, then this program is definitely worth it.
