This is a very basic article explaining with not much detail the benefits of taiji. Although they are not detailed, they are very credible because they come from Dr. Paul Lam, an expert in the area and a Oriental Medicine Doctor. It starts off explaining the cardiovascular benefits you can get from taiji. It mentions a study done with heart attack patients and shows that the results from taiji were more successful than any of the other exercises used. Next it talks about how taiji strengthens our bodies. Explains that especially for ex-athletes, it could be very good for maintaining health after they stop playing their sport. Lastly it talks about the issue of flexibility. Tells a story about a man who tried everything, and finally taiji was the answer. At the end it ties in the mental and spiritual aspect of taiji and how stress is all in you head. It gives a vague overview of how it is all related. Overall nothing too detailed but it is a good starting point for the basics of what taiji can give you.
