The mission of the Taekwondo Club is to provide quality instruction and a variety of training opportunities within a safe and fun training environment to the George Washington University community. In addition, the Taekwondo Club also provides additional information about taekwondo and martial arts through its web site resources at dctkd.org, annotated bibliography, library, and suggested links.
Training opportunities include our regular workouts on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturdays on the GWU campus; Monday and Wednesdays at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD; weekend training programs in Pennsylvania and West Virginia; martial arts summer camp in beautiful locales such as Mt. Shasta, CA; visits to Korea with the UC Berkeley Martial Arts Program; tournaments and special workouts with other martial arts clubs; and sparring scrimmages, our zero-cost alternative to tournaments and the associated expensive fees.
dctkd.org is an online resource for practitioners of taekwondo and other martial arts. This project is funded by the taekwondo club at George Washington University with the intent of furthering martial arts education in university environments.
