Taekwondo Club Hall of Fame
The Taekwondo Club is very appreciative of the following individuals who have volunteered their time, skills, and leadership to help the club run.

Dr. Dave Chen (Founding President) 1992-93
After serving as the president of UCMAP at U.C. Berkeley the year before, Dave had extra time in his second semester of medical school to put his administrative skills to work.
Mr. Thomas Oh 1993-94
Ms. Christina House 1994-96
Dr. Jae Lee 1996-97
Arranged for the first club web site through the university before it was SOP for clubs, and even many businesses, to have a web site.
Ms. Paige Normand 1997-98
Obtained 1st funding from the Recreational Sports group for tournament travel expenses and obtained storage space in the Marvin Center for club equipment.
Mr. Justin Veazey 1998-99
Established martial arts Colloquium series and arranged access to Mount Vernon campus.
Mr. Quentin Black 1999-2000
Ms. Erin Bingham 2000-02
Significantly increased membership via her tireless, extensive, and positive marketing efforts throughout the university community.

Edwin organized several activities including demonstrations for the GW student body and two enormously fun training events in Uniondale, PA.

Jimmy Crandall Book Drive Coordinator, 2001
Jimmy organized the book as part of the club's 10th Anniversary celebration. A collection of more than 20 books were donated to Gelman Library.
Mr. James Minahan Special Events Coordinator, 2005-06
James organized the 2006 West VA training trip and several scrimmages.

Instructors
Dr. Larry Gritz
As one of the earliest members of the club, Larry provided much assistance and support in developing the curriculum of the club. He also initiated the annotated bibliography before accepting an offer from Pixar and leaving us for 120-hour weeks in sunny California to work on the original Toy Story.

Mrs. Soo Young Chrisfield
Soo Young started taekwondo here at GW in fall '94 and tested for her black belt in summer '98. In 2000, she initiated the taekwondo program at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD.
Mr. Jim Nix
Jim joined the taekwondo club in spring 1996 and obtained his black belt in August 2000. In 2002, he took over the taekwondo program at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, MD and continued instructing through fall 2004.
Dr. Jae Lee
Jae joined the taekwondo club in fall 1993 and obtained his black belt in spring 1997. Jae made significant contributions to the club as both treasurer and president, representing the club in local and national competitions, providing much instruction on the Foggy Bottom campus, and serving as the acting instructor at All Souls Unitarian Church in 2004-05.
